Inka Cusco on Foot Ancient Cusco City ok Foot Cusco had 324 to 328 wakas. A waka is a place worship and they were all over the city along orientation lines that flew from the center of the world: the Qorikancha which is the main temple surrounded by sheets of gold. At the foot of this monument we can appreciate one of those waka dedicated to the worship that we call puquio, its water flows since Inca times that divides its self as two falls flow down gracefully in the classic Inca style in order to hear its pleasant murmur and remember that Cusco had 90 similar water falls spread all over the city. Imagine Cusco full of them still flowing, like this one, since the time of the Incas. The trip begins in of the wakas called Teteqaqa where we can still see flowers that have been recently offered and from there take a slow hike down to the waka of Pachatusan which we now all Mesa Redonda which stands in the neighboring Lucrepata district and appreciate the large stone worshiped there. As we follow down we reach the Sapantiana waka where the Choquechaka street leads us to the alley of the serpents that leads us to the handsome Nazarenas plaza where the Monasterio Hotel on an ancient monument that allows us to walk by Hatunrumiyoq street and see the twelve angled stone there, then continue to Santa Catalina plaza and reach Loreto street surrounded by Inca walls and reach the Main Plaza and stroll to La Merced, splendid convent which deserve 5 soles to visit it.
